Job Description

We are seeking a Pilot Plant Operator to perform process operations in microbial fermentation, downstream processing, purification, and final chemistry. The successful candidate must be able to function effectively and efficiently in a team oriented culture to ensure high quality output within a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned tasks including operation of process equipment such as bioreactors, centrifuges, filtration, and hydrogenation equipment
• Perform process support tasks including glassware and media preparation, operation of glasswasher, autoclave, and SIP/CIP equipment
• Coordinates the setup, sterilization, and cleaning of components and process equipment
• Monitors equipment operation, performs process sampling and routine analysis
• Ensures successful facility operation with strict compliance of written procedures and policies
• Adhere to all facility safety procedures and policies as well as identify any unsafe conditions

Requirements

• BA/BS in biology, life sciences or related field
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including shift and weekend duties
• Team player with good problem solving and communication skills
• cGMP experience is a plus
